PTZ Security Camera Demo

www.cctvcamerapros.com for more info. The following video demonstrates some of the capabilities of our PTZ speed dome security camera and our IP video server. The IP video server converts any analog CCTV camera to an IP security camera by providing ethernet video output and embedded video server software that supports remote access and controls of the PTZ camera over an IP network. The PTZ camera connects to the IP server with a standard male BNC connector for the video and uses RS-485 to control the PTZ functions. Here standard doorbell wire is used for the RS-485 connection. The IP server has both BNC and Cat-5 outputs so you can connect the IP server to a network as well as to an analog surveillance DVR. When the video server is connected to a network that it also connected to the Internet, the IP server allows an operator to view and control the functions of the PTZ camera over the Internet using the Internet Explorer.

Picture clarity is very good and audio quality is better than average. The high frequency makes the picture vulnerable to people movement and electronic interference as the maximum range is approached. Also, the box doesn't say one way other the other whether the camera is suitable for outside application, which it is not. Also, there is no battery isolation switch, so when the adapter power is removed, the camera switches automatically to lithium battery power. This is a disadvantage for applications where the camera is fired up by a remote motion sensor, and requires that the camera run all the time. Just TerribleBy Arran LappinIt's a cheap camera, that's what you pay for and that's what you'll get. The static interference is atrocious at 15ft away I can't imagine 400. It boasts about on board mics but I cant find them, there are zero audio settings in the software or users manual. The camera itself has a pretty decent image though it's never stable. The night vision's impressive but again this means nothing with out a good connection. Forget about customer service they have yet to finish that portion of their website. So buyer beware.
